Save the Date! From Day 1 to Degree: Ensuring Student Success through Effective Pre-College and Retention Programs
Please join the Oregon State Board of Higher Education for this one-day symposium on pre-college readiness and postsecondary retention programs for underserved student populations. The symposium will offer important data and practical ideas for improving services and increasing student preparation and retention at Oregon's colleges and universities. The day will include presentations by Oregon and national leaders, and will offer sessions exploring pre-college preparation and enrichment programs, in-college retention programs, and faculty engagement and impact on student retention.
When: November 19, full day event, lunch provided, no registration fee
Where: Portland State University, Smith Ballroom
Who: Participants include postsecondary education administrators, student affairs professionals, advisers, students, and faculty; K-12 administrators, counselors, and faculty; public officials and policy makers; representatives of community or non-profit organizations aimed at student achievement; representatives of philanthropic organizations; business association leaders; community, and civic leaders.
How to register: Email symposium@ous.edu now to be included on the invitation list. An invitation with registration procedures will be then sent to you in mid-September. Registration is free, but seating is limited so please save the date and register soon after the registration period begins.
