PSU Online Course: Poverty 101
Portland State University is pleased to announce the first of a new online course series examining poverty and related issues. Poverty 101: A New Paradigm For Understanding and Eradicating Poverty begins March 30. The course is designed to provide a new paradigm for understanding poverty and applying the information to real world situations. It uses a discussion format with weekly postings, readings, and activities. Readings will include Dr. Donna Beegle's 18 years of research and work on breaking poverty barriers. Poverty 101 will be especially useful for educators, health care professionals, social workers and justice professionals.
