Theme: Increasing Student Achievement through Instruction and Social Justice
Dates: June 25-26, 2007
Daily Schedules: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Location: Kingstad Center - 15450 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton, OR
Institute Format: Two-day workshop format; participants select one of four:
- Best Practices in Mathematics – presenter: Kathy Pfaendler, Teachers Development Group
- Leading for Educational Equity – presenters: BayCES and E3/OSregon Small Schools Initiative staff
- Literacy through Social Justice – presenter: Linda Christensen
- Project-based Learning for Differentiation – presenters: Michelle Swanson and Theron Cosgrave, Swanson and Cosgrave Consulting
Workshops to extend the learning from the summer Institute will be available for all participants during the 2007-08 school year.
Who should Attend: High school teachers, counselors, learning specialists, principals, building administrators, central office administrators, and key stakeholders interested in improving instruction to support each student learning at high levels.

University Credit: Graduate credit is available through Portland State University for workshop participation.
